The Action Committee has been a valuable partner and resource...we just have to look at the improvements in our lake at Burnham Park. And my staff has benefited from the workshops, speakers and research available through the WRWAC. -Jeff Hartke, Town Engineer, MorristownOur VisionThe vision of the members of the Whippany River Watershed Action Committee is to continue to be a vibrant organization, known for getting things accomplished. With support from its members-town leaders, the Morris County Freeholders, and other stakeholders including individuals, businesses, and conservation groups-the committee is committed to being a leader in watershed management and ensuring that the Whippany River is a valued, viable and well-managed natural resource for everyone. CommitteesProgram/Technical- Responsible for development of scientific data and
research related to the health of the Whippany, on-going assessment and development of
restoration and management plans and projects to improve the quality of our watershed.
Outreach & Education- Responsible for the on-going education of the members
and programs to broaden awareness, understanding and action in our communities to improve
and protect our watershed. The committee hosts a Speakers Bureau to provide speakers and
the presentation, "Here's the Whippany River" for schools, scout troops and civic groups

Action Committee. In addition, the committee welcomes individuals, civic groups and
businesses to become involved as stewards of the watershed through our Whippany River
