$1.5 Million Grant Announced for Whippany River Debris and Flood Management

A $1.5 million Community Project submitted by Representative Mikie Sherrill on behalf of New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District was just approved for the Whippany River. The Whippany River Regional Improvement Initiative was submitted by East Hanover, Hanover Township, Parsippany and Florham Park officials to clear obstructions in the Whippany River and helping to control the impacts of flooding. The Whippany River Watershed Action Committee is excited that this type of effort is being put forth to help protect, preserve and maintain the Whippany River and its watershed. Below is a link the the announcement of this and other grants Community Project grants.
